Fishing Report: 9/26/15
Went on an overnight aboard the Freedom.
Super light load, about 22 anglers in total. We headed to San Clemente and looked for kelps. The second stop was crazy with YFT and bonito. Not very big tuna, 10# – 12#, but plenty of them.
Things of note…
- Most fish were landed on TranX + Terez H + 65# PowerPro + 50# fluorocarbon leader using an “FG” knot + Flat Fall, 130g in Phantom Squid tied with a Trilene knot.
- Hooked at least 20 fish, landed about 15, Kept 7 yellowfin tuna, threw back the small yellows and and gave away the bonito.
- First: Landed a fish on a Shimano Butterfly Slidend Jig (110g Brown/Silver)
